This weekend I got to spend an afternoon in Ventura down on the beach. The beach here has some of the best surfing in the whole of California and also has this pier. the main reason for me to get out shooting this weekend was to try out my new Singh-Ray Blue n Gold polarizer. I also used a 10 stop neutral density filter to freeze the ocean with a 180 second exposure.

Here are a couple of shots from the sunset. Overall happy with the Singh-ray filter so far, its an easy filter to over-use and produce way too saturated images, a lot of down-toning was required in post to bring them under control, especially with the 10 stop ND which casts a pink tone over the images.
